Once you have completed your book it’s time to think about the best production course of action. This will involve deciding on which print and binding methods to choose – explore the options from below:

The right print solution

The reason we can offer competitive quotes for short or long print runs is because we have both digital and litho presses and can advise you on the best option for your publication. Full colour or black and white throughout or a combination of both can be achieved with either process.

We print on a full range of papers, including recycled both digitally and by litho. On the litho presses we only use environmentally friendly vegetable based inks giving you the full range of beautiful colours.

Bindings for all occasions

There are various types of binding for your book, depending on the number of pages and the sort of finish you would like:

perfectbound
Perfect bound, soft back glued binding, books are popular and suitable when there are over 50 pages and can go up to 350-400 pages, uncoated or matt art text paper with a matt or gloss laminated cover.

hardback
Hard back books are finished in a similar way to soft back but with the addition of a hard cover which can prolong the shelf-life of the volume. For fabric covered books we offer an assortment of coloured cloth or imitation leather on which titles can be stamped in gold or silver foil. Hard back books can be supplied with dust jackets.

spiral-binding
Saddle stitching is normally used for booklets, periodicals, etc, where the number of pages doesn’t normally exceed 72 and is stapled down the folded spine.

spiral-binding
Wire binding is ideal for walking/cycling guide books or recipe books which allows the book to be opened up completely flat, the individual pages can also be laminated so they can be wiped clean. Wire binding is available in a range of colours.

spiral-binding
Loose leaf publications are ideal for training and reference materials and would be supplied punched for your own ring-binders or we can provide those too.
